Winter Grazing Science Seminars

AgResearch in partnership with MPI's Primary Industry Advisory Services, are running two winter grazing seminars focusing on both animal welfare and environmental science aimed at farm consultants, veterinarians and rural advisers.

There will be two opportunities available to attend these one-day seminars at the Ascot Hotel in Invercargill.

The first on the 24 November 2020 and the second on 23  February 2021. Both seminars will have a 9.30am arrival for a 9.45am start and will be wrapped up around 4pm.

Topics

These seminars will have presenters who will speak about winter grazing in terms of:

  • Animal welfare science.
  • Environmental science.
  • Animal nutrition and social licence.
  • Regulatory requirements from a regional council perspective.
  • These seminars are designed to provide vets, farm consultants and all types of rural advisers with the up to date science on this topic. Particularly around the relationship between animal welfare, the environment and winter grazing.
