The Whole Story is hosting a Land Use Diversification Opportunities workshop in the Maniototo based on local research.
This workshop will be from 10am to 2pm on Thursday 9 February 2023 at the Maniototo Golf Club.
There will be a wide range of topics up for discussion on the day from solar farming, to increased farming efficiencies and everything in between including quinoa, native tree planting and tourism.
Following this workshop, complimentary sessions will be available on Friday 10 February and Monday 13 February for interested farming businesses to work with a decision support tool to explore alternatives.
We hope that at a result of this work you get insights into a wide range of diversification opportunities that our local farmers have expressed interest in and then the opportunity for support in the next stage of decision making.
