For those that submitted on Healthy Rivers Plan Change 1, the next step is the hearing process.
The Hearing Panel’s role is to hear submissions and evidence on the Plan and once all points have been heard they will make recommendations to the council about changes to the proposed plan. The council will make the final decisions based on the recommendations received.
Public hearings are expected to start in early 2019. To assist those farmers wanting to speak to their submissions at the hearings, B+LNZ are running a series of hearing workshops.
What to expect?
The aim of these workshops is to give you information as to what to expect at the hearing, understand how best to leave a good impression on the decision makers and help you work through your key messages for the hearings.
By the end of the workshop you will have started writing your hearing statement and have the tools to complete it at home.
What to bring?
Bring along a copy of your PC1 submission.
Places are strictly limited, registrations are essential.
