Farming for the Future: New Zealand Grasslands Conference

The theme of the 81st New Zealand Grasslands Conference is “Farming for the future” and brings together farmers, scientists and agribusiness leaders. Registrations are now open.

The Grasslands Committee have specially designed a day to attract farmers' interest on Wednesday 6 November. This includes both a sheep and beef and dairy farming partners presentation and farmer-led workshops on improving animal performance, managing future biosecurity and animal health issues, more cost-effective aerial topdressing and profitable diversification opportunities on sheep and beef farms in the morning.

In the afternoon there will be a choice of two field day visits to the iconic Kereru Station or the integrated Brownriggs farming operation.

Those of you who are thinking of setting-up or are involved in a catchment community group, will be interested in the field day in the afternoon of Tuesday 5 November that will feature how the community farmer group intends to use the most up-to-date equipment to monitor the key catchment measures.

Please put this exciting couple of days in your diaries.

Registration for the Napier Conference is now open.
