Keynote speaker: Associate Professor Nicola Schreurs at Massey University
Nicola Schreurs is a researcher in Animal Science and Meat Science at Massey University. She has a PhD from Massey University and spent two years as a post-doc at the Institute National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) in Clermont-Ferrand, France working on a project looking at the development of muscle in French beef cattle.
Recent research projects that Nicola has been involved with include: investigating the effect of forage diets on lamb carcass and meat quality, considering the carcass characteristics of Wiltshire cross lambs, assessing the carcass and meat characteristics of cattle from the dairy-beef progeny test and development of yearling-beef production utilising calves that originate from dairy systems.
