Beef + Lamb New Zealand Awards Dinner – POSTPONED

The Beef + Lamb New Zealand Awards Dinner originally planned for 2 February 2022 in Napier, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 red traffic light system. More information below.

The B+LNZ Awards dinner has been postponed

We have made the difficult decision to postpone the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Awards dinner scheduled for 2 February 2022 due to the sudden move to COVID-19’s red traffic light system.

Keeping farmers, our people and the red meat industry safe is our first priority.

This decision hasn’t come lightly and was made after consulting all finalists and stakeholders.

We know this postponement will be disappointing for those involved..

We are also working through a process for the reimbursement of tickets purchased and will be in touch with people on this separately in due course.

Keep a lookout for a new date here and via B+LNZ’s social media channels..

About the Awards Dinner

Once a new date is set, the inaugural Beef + Lamb New Zealand Awards Dinner will be a night of celebrating the people, the innovation, the technologies and management systems that make New Zealand’s grass-based red meat industry world-leading.

Throughout the evening we will introduce the finalists and announce the overall winners of the eight award categories.

The evening will also provide an opportunity to sample some of the finest produce of our great agricultural sector.

  • Drinks & Reception: 6pm
  • Dinner & Awards: 7pm

Guest Chef: Beef + Lamb Platinum Ambassador, Scott Kennedy

The evening includes a three course meal that showcases our wonderful New Zealand product in a menu designed specifically for the occasion by Beef + Lamb New Zealand's Platinum Ambassador Chef, Scott Kennedy of Nero Restaurant in Palmerston North.

Pre-dinner drinks from 6pm.

Covid-19 Protection Framework

This event is operating under a red traffic light – all attendees will be required to show their My Vaccine Pass on the day.

This is the official record of your COVID-19 vaccination status (you can request a My Vaccine Pass if you’ve had two doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in New Zealand, or had an approved vaccination overseas or have a medical exemption).

At the event, we will also require you to maintain 1m physical distancing from other attendees and you must record your attendance through the B+LNZ attendance register on the day and scan the COVID-19 QR code for the venue.

If you have cold or flu symptoms or are awaiting the results from a COVID-19 test, please stay at home.
