We as farmers are facing increasing pressure to address many challenges across the environmental and regulatory space. Catchment groups are popping up throughout New Zealand as farmers look to come together to face these challenges and build thriving farming communities.
The forum will be an interactive day where we will hear from a range of catchment groups, what were the drivers for each and how they are progressing. We will also hear about what industry and government are doing in this space and get a chance to hear their views on catchment groups in a panel discussion.
- Community catchment groups – Members from the Rangitikei catchment, Oroua catchment, Stoneycreek and the Pomahaka catchment in Otago.
- Forum of industry and government – Horizons Regional Council, Beef + Lamb New Zealand, Dairy NZ and Central Government.
- Numbers are strictly limited, registrations essential.
Free for ACRE members, $50 for non-member, $80 for couple (refunded if you join ACRE on the day).
Note: ACRE is open to any farmers in the Horizons Region, where farming is the main income for your business. Membership is $200/year for two per business.
