Computing for Farmers

Computing for Farmers course

Computers have become an essential tool for all types of business – including farming businesses. But if you're not confident with them – then where do you start?

The Red Meat Profit Partnership (RMPP) provides computer training for farmers nationwide.

There's a course for farmers who are just getting started – and another for farmers who want to improve their use of farm data and management tools.

Getting Started

  • If you're an absolute beginner, then this is the course for you. It takes you through everything you might need to know – from turning on the computer to setting up emails and using the internet.

Using Farm Data

  • If you already have basic understanding of how to use a computer, then this course should be your next step. You'll learn about Excel – using a farm case study to find out how to develop a stock reconciliation and partial financial budget. And you'll get acquainted with some of the farm management tools that are around.

The courses are 8 hours in duration, spread over half days or evenings.
