Beef + Lamb New Zealand has appointed Sam McIvor as its new Chief Executive Officer. He will also have the role of CEO of the New Zealand Meat Board.

Average meat export returns down despite NZD depreciation

The first quarter of the 2015-16 meat export season concluded on 31 December 2015 and analysis by Beef + Lamb New Zealand's Economic Service shows that total red meat (including beef, veal, lamb and mutton) export revenue reached a record high over the quarter.

Beef + Lamb New Zealand director George Tatham, who recently attended the Five Nations Beef Alliance in Mexico, says that new members from Paraguay and Mato Grosso in Brazil will add a new dimension to the group, now called the International Beef Alliance.
